lyrics

We didn’t touch, we didn’t talk, only sweat between us tension as we walked.
Now you look at me as you’re sitting tied to the chair. I would give anything to be on you, feel your dark hair.

We shouldn’t have come back here, I warned you so. When left without you i feel so alone.
Talk to me now whilst i remain here, don’t ever again be seperate by strangers.

They cut along my arm, kissed me with blood, threw me to the wall, i’d feel cleaner being doused in mud.
Remember our walks along the pier, and how our heads ached, the oily water reeked of dead fish, around me your arm snaked.

From the shower we came, cleansed and perfumed, we retreated to the bed, making love until noon.
In the faults of others, our love it prospered, as for my body, these strangers conquered.

Memories starting to fade.
Smoking on the balcony, we were made.
Arm jerked, rope cast, it fell short.
My body shrunk, my legs splayed, darling i need your support.

Death depart, we’re not the same, hold on to your name, remember us in special ways.
I am but your humble hog, ride me through the storm.
On the planes, dressed the same, in our uniform I wait for you to come.

Gathered around a pond, you woke again.
Keen eyes, stuck on you, still open and then...
The floor it changed colour, a deep scarlet hue, i couldn’t be saved not by me or you.

In a cold steel room with dreams of hurting, you visited me from the quay, you heard my yearning. Now,
with my cold hand in yours, I feel no danger.
My last thoughts being of those, strangers.
