‘Avaunce’ sees the trajectory of Mailman's
music shift, following a darker, more repetitive, sustained
sound, that points to a heavier influence from the soft
sounds of late 60s folk.

The first release from his upcoming debut album, Rooms of the Red Castle, ‘Avaunce’ comes paired with the b-side ‘My Travelling Girl’, an endearing goodbye ditty, that sees the new minimalist sound in full effect, with a heavy, flat sounding singer, flirting a spoken-word
confession.
