Mailman is the meditative solo project of one Lachlan Reynolds (Snake Valley). A Ballaratian by birth, his self-titled EP is a melancholic reflection through events past and present that have shaped the brooding disposition of a young man estranged by love, aspiration and the human condition.

This EP is a collection of 5 tracks all similarly crafted, ranging from upbeat punk-esque ass shakers to reserved, emotional liaises through a meticulously written story.

Reynolds is somewhat of a savant in the realms of writing and producing music. Having just released the highly anticipated Snake Valley Album “Giddy-Up”, which he produced mixed and mastered in the malign comfort of his Collingwood residence, Reynolds was ready to take on his own project using an old-school, analogue approach to his production.

The result is a powerful combination of hard hitting and memorable rock and rock-ballad tunes and a self-curated ‘found-sound’ achieved only by excessive experimentation all throughout the creative process.

Mailman is raw, emotional, thought-provoking, refreshingly original, and a fantastic debut to Reynolds’s solo artistry. Be sure to catch the EP out October 23rd 2020.
